This 40 minute webinar will introduce the practicalities of being the Responsible Pharmacist in a Community Pharmacy and the Clinical Governance underpinning this role.

Primarily aimed at those starting practice (newly qualified), undertaking their Foundation Year or moving to UK practice through the Overseas Pharmacists' Assessment Programme (OSPAP), however all are welcome who may wish to refresh their knowledge.

Aims and Objectives

• Understand legislation and background of Clinical Governance in the UK

• Begin to build knowledge of tasks and activities required to meet standards

• Understand the process of inspection (GPhC and NHS Contract Monitoring)

An open discussion forum of Clinical Governance issues encountered as Responsible Pharmacist in the first few months of practice.

This session is aimed primarily at those new to practice (newly qualified) or undertaking their training year however is open to all.

• Able to ask open questions about best and bad practice encountered and how to improve outcomes of this where necessary.

• Learn from others in their specific examples

• CPD opportunities from new learnings encountered
